Fisheries NT are working with AFANT, the Recreational Fishing Advisory Committee and fishers on a new Recreational Fishing Development Plan to guide the future of recreational fishing across the Northern Territory.
The new Recreational Fishing Development Plan will ensure the NT maintains and enhances the quality of its recreational fishing sector. The plan will identify a clear vision for recreational fishing in the NT and outline strategies, direction, and resources for the next 10 years.
Staff will be out and about, talking to people at boat ramps, land-based fishing spots, and at tackle shops. You can also do the interview right now online! We are asking about:
- Your motivations/reasons for going fishing
- Your best (and not so good) experiences
- What an ideal fishing future would look like to you
